Springboard has a sector-leading learner welfare programme. As part of this strategy, Springboard Futures Learners have been supporting the “Get Britain Talking” campaign currently being run by ITV. The campaign recognises that young men find it particularly difficult to talk about how they are feeling. Futures Learners have regular “Tea and Talk” sessions where they can talk about anything they are feeling or experiencing.
Springboard Futures Safeguarding lead Paul Colborn said: “We recognise the importance of conversation and the benefits it has to mental health, this is especially true of young men, who find it more difficult to talk about how they are feeling. Having a cup of tea… or a Magnum is a perfect way to start a good conversation.
