To maintain care skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may

from time to time be required to maintain that currency of practice.

To provide care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures,

agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the

Manager, and within the financial plans agreed from time to time.

Main Duties: (Not in any order of priority)

1. Develop effective working relationships with the other employees’ within the home.

2. Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture.

3. Participate in the development of the home’s policies.

4. Participate in evaluation of the home against agreed organisational goals, business, and quality objectives.

5. Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships.

6. Minimise legal risks.

7. Participate in the maintenance of the home’s management information systems.

8. Assist in the formulation and implementation of care policies and procedures.

9. Assist the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of the home.

10. Act within the home’s budget based on the home’s objectives and within the projected revenue.

11. Work in a cost-effective manner.

12. Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the home’s quality assurance programme.

13. Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.

14. Systematically solve day to day problematic issues which arise.

Senior Care Assistant Apprenticeship

The Senior Carer will be required to supervise and inspire a team of dedicated Care Assistants under the

direction of the Management team. This is an incredibly important role as you will also be required to support

the clinical team in a specific area, such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews.

Customer Service Assistant

The customer service assistant for Springboard is responsible for serving hot drinks and snacks from the Lakes Cafe during opening times and on busy event days and the running of the adapted bikes project (Peoples Pedal Power). The post holder will be part of the Springboard Adventure team and full training will be given.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Experience in this area is not essential as training will be provided.
  • Confident in serving individuals hot drinks and snacks during cafe opening times and on event days.
  • Ability to work alongside activity instructors and group leaders.
  • Ability to open and close the building.
  • Knowledge of current food hygiene requirements.
  • Ability to complete daily safety checks for the Lakes Cafe
