Springboard Futures Learners have been active advocates for the NHS and carers, especially during the Covid crisis. Learner Thomas said: “We all appreciate the work everyone does who works in the Health Service. In our group, we talked about everyone who works caring for us and our families. Some of our friends have older relatives who are cared for, and some of us have relatives who work in hospitals doing lots of different jobs, so we wanted to thank everyone who helps us. We visited a care home and Sunday Royal Hospital to give out handwritten cards and show them our thank you banner.”
SEND Lead Nichola Corry said: ” We are very proud of our learners especially when it comes to appreciating the roles of others within society, when they asked if they could show their appreciation for those working in Health and caring professions it didn’t surprise me, well-done everyone.”
