This week Springboard Nursery have been celebrating Chinese New Year! Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar and solar Chinese calendar.
The younger children enjoyed plenty sensory play and painting, and all children in the nursery enjoyed yummy Chinese food, listening to Chinese music and making Chinese lanterns! They even danced with the Chinese dragon outside!
In the snug, the younger children enjoyed sensory activities, using paint brushes to make marks in coloured rice. They also listened and danced along to some Chinese music! The children had noodles out that were cold, wet and sticky and enjoyed sensory play, exploring the textures.
