Learners at Springboard Peterlee have been learning all about Chinese New Year this week. Chinese New Year, Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year, is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. This year Chinese New Year takes place on 1st February, and the 2022 Chinese Zodiac is the year of the Tiger!
Learners have enjoyed researching and learning about Chinese New Year, but they have also enjoyed planning and preparing a Chinese banquet! Learning Support Assistant Adrienne said; “Everyone worked really hard and the food was delicious!”
