Springboard held our Annual GEM Awards ceremony on the 25th of January, at The National Glass Centre in Sunderland. Our awards this year were sponsored by Cash Converters.
Our GEM awards are designed to recognise those learners and employers who have Gone the Extra Mile, (see what we did there!) This year, we were delighted to welcome Simon Grundy from Sun FM as our host for the evening.
Our 200 guests enjoyed canape’s and drinks throughout the evening, whilst inspiring stories of the nominee’s where shared, as well as having a large opportunity to network as the night went on.
Our CEO, David Barker had the following to say; I hope you enjoyed the evening, which aims to celebrate the achievements of our learners and partners in supporting the development of sustainable communities where people have the skills they need for work and life. An event like this is merely the pinnacle, the showcase, of a lot of hard work and endeavour from many staff, learners and partner organisations. This work goes on every day and it’s nice to spend an evening looking back in celebration.”
