Last night we attended the Prince’s Trust Awards at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle. Sponsors of the event included TK Maxx and Homesense. The Prince’s Trust Awards recognise the success of young people getting into employment, training or education and overcoming substantial barriers to transform their lives.
The categories awarded are as follows; Young Achiever of the Year, Young Ambassador of the Year, Enterprise Award, Rising Star Award, Community Impact Awards, Breakthrough Award and Educational Achiever of the Year.
It was such an inspirational night, and it was great to hear each and everyone’s stories. The Prince’s Trust has supported more than 3,500 young people in the North East, with three in four moving into work, training or education.
Springboard work exceptionally closely with the Prince’s Trust, and it was fantastic for our very own Jack Fenwick to be nominated. Jack was nominated for the Community Impact Award – this award recognises the positive contribution young people make to their local community whilst developing their own skills. Sadly, he didn’t make the finals, but a massive Well Done to Jack, you should be very proud!
