Learners explore different types of bullying, the effects it can have on children and young people, and strategies to prevent and manage bullying in schools, care settings, and the wider community. This course is ideal for anyone supporting or working with children and young people. Throughout the qualification, learners explore the different forms that bullying can take—including verbal, physical, emotional, and cyberbullying—and examine how these behaviours can affect a young person’s mental health, wellbeing, and development. The course also considers the wider social, cultural, and environmental factors that may contribute to bullying behaviour, helping learners understand the roots of the issue as well as the experiences of victims and perpetrators.
