Our Hair and Beauty Therapy qualification is ran from our purpose built, public facing salon in Sunderland. This qualification provides training in manicure, pedicure, nail art, make up and aspects of hairdressing.
Learners can also gain skills in hairdressing, facial treatments, massaging, face painting, spray tanning, reception work, customer service and many other areas of the hair and beauty industry.
Learners on our Hair and Beauty Therapy course will also ensure responsibilities for actions to reduce risks to health and safety, contribute to the development of effective working relationships and prepare and maintain salon treatment work areas.

Our Level 1 qualification is designed to build on the learners interest and passion for the hair and beauty industry, covering a wide range of skills from hair styling to make-up or nail art. The Level 1 qualification is designed for those learners who want to prepare for further learning or training within the hair and beauty sector. For our Level 1 qualification learners will need to complete practical demonstrations and assignments.
Level 2 in Beauty Therapy
Our Level 2 qualification covers a wide range of skills, from nail technology, facials, makeup, waxing and lash and brow treatments through to body massage and spa treatments. To gain a Level 2 qualification learners must show they have got a particular set of skills, therefore learners train in our purpose built beauty salon getting hands on working environment experience and carrying out treatments on models and paying clients. Learners will be assessed as they learn.
Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy
Our Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy equips learners to work in one of the largest, trusted, professional and continually expanding industries within the Hair and Beauty sector. The work environment for apprentices can be varied and can include small, bespoke salons or luxury high end beauty salons and spas. Beauty Therapists work independently or as part of a team supported by a manager. Our Beauty Therapy apprentices must demonstrate a willingness to learn, have an enquiring and curious mind and are enthusiastic to learn about their chosen career in the beauty industry. A Beauty Therapist will carry out beauty therapy treatments in line with legal, industry and organisational requirements. These treatments may include; waxing, hand and nail treatments, foot treatments, facial skin care treatments, makeup application, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, massage and more.
