About the course

Springboard is delighted to launch the Aspire Programme, a new initiative supporting young people across Sunderland to build confidence, develop skills and take positive steps towards their future.

Aspire is designed for young people who may be unsure about their next move or need additional support to engage with education, training, employment or personal development opportunities. Through flexible, person-centred support, the programme helps participants identify their strengths, explore their interests and work towards aspirations that are meaningful to them.

Young people will have access to one-to-one guidance, practical and vocational activities, employability and life skills development, digital skills support, employer engagement opportunities and experiences that help them gain confidence and prepare for the world of work.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Every participant will work alongside a dedicated member of the Aspire team to create a personalised plan that reflects their individual needs, ambitions and circumstances. Support will be delivered within local communities across Sunderland, ensuring young people can access help in a way that feels welcoming, accessible and relevant to them.

At its heart, Aspire is about helping young people believe in their potential, overcome barriers and build a brighter future. Whether the goal is progressing into education, training, an apprenticeship, employment or simply gaining confidence and direction, Aspire will provide the encouragement, opportunities and support needed to take that next step.
