We’re encouraging all of our Springboard learners to get involved in this fantastic opportunity with Sunderland Tall Ships.
Sail training is open to anyone, regardless of ability and experience, and trainees do not need to have any previous sailing experience. As long as you’re enthusiastic and prepared to learn, that’s what matters.
Tall Ship trainees will spend seven nights on-board one of the participating vessels on a voyage to Esbjerg in Denmark from Friday 13 July until Friday 20 July 2018. In Esbjerg trainees will take part in the festival-like Crew Parade and Prize-Giving Ceremony before flying back to the UK.
Our Springboard learners are able to apply and access the bursary scheme, which means all training, berth for 4 days sailing and the flight home are all covered, providing they can complete, or be helped to complete, a 500 word overview including reasons why they’re unable to fund their own trip.
This is an excellent opportunity for our young people to get involved in what is guaranteed to be a spectacular event.
