Last week Springboard staff members and learners celebrated the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Springboard received funding from the Sir James Knott Fund to support our celebrations.
Springboard Futures learners kicked off the celebrations on Wednesday. Learners designed their very own jubilee t-shirts while enjoying some jubilee themed cupcakes made by Emma’s Sweet Treats. One of our future learners Andrew said “I liked making my own t-shirt I can take home to keep. This was an amazing experience!”
Our Nursery staff, children and parents had afternoon tea in honour of the Queens Jubilee with parents. It was a lovely break for staff and the parents loved that the nursery had involved them in celebrating the Queen’s 70th year on the throne.
On Friday we held our big Jubilee party in the Aspire Bistro. We decorated the Bistro in honour of the Queen, with balloons, bunting, chair covers and more as well as our reception and some other surrounding areas!
We had bingo and a royal quiz throughout the day as well as some BBQ food provided by our Bistro Staff and learners.
Our Beauty Therapy tutor made the most amazing Jubilee cake!
After posting our photos and videos to social media we got acknowledged by the Royal Family Twitter account as they liked our post!
