Our Commis Chef Apprenticeships are designed to equip learners with the ability to deliver high quality dishes to the customers of the organisation. The learning journey of any chef will vary for each individual; however, it is necessary to understand and have experience in the basics that this role provides in order to progress to any future senior chef role.

What do you need to apply for the course?
Maths and English grades 4 or above.
N/A - An Apprenticeship is classed as full-time employment. You are employed by the employer as a full-time member of staff.
How will you be assessed?
An apprenticeship is a genuine job with an accompanying skills development program. Through your apprenticeship, you will gain the technical knowledge, practical experience, and wider skills you need for your job and career. You will gain this through a mix of learning in the workplace, formal off-the-job training, and the opportunity to practice new skills in a real work environment.
At the end of your apprenticeship, you will complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) carried out by an independent End Point Assessment Organisation. The assessment activities are designed to best draw out your knowledge, skills, and behaviors, whilst maintaining a rigorous and impartial assessment of your abilities.
