If you’re leaving school this year, or are currently at college and not sure what to do next, an Apprenticeship could be the ideal Springboard into your dream career.
An Apprenticeship is a fantastic way to get your foot on the career ladder of your choice, and Apprenticeships have been proven to be a viable option where you can learn invaluable, hands-on skills and also get paid while you learn.
You will work in a real work environment, with a contract of employment and a salary, and Apprenticeships are a progressive route which can lead to full time employment and can even lead onto a Degree with the introduction of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships in sectors such as accountancy, law and engineering – you can gain all of the qualifications without all of the debt!
All Apprenticeships are paid a wage, and this varies upon your age and the organisations. The minimum wage for a 16-18 year old Apprentice can be found here, employed a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 40 hours.
Springboard work closely with local businesses in the North East, and we have successfully placed candidates within names such as Sunderland Hospital, Sunderland City Council, Your Move, schools across the North East and more!
